About The School
Modibbo Adama institution yola is a public research institution located in Girei, which is a town in Adamawa State, which is located in Northeastern Nigeria. The university was combined with the University of Maiduguri in 1984, and the resulting institution was renamed the Modibbo Adama Campus (MACUM). Yola, the Federal University of Technology. 1988 was the year that the university was demerged and given full autonomy for the second time. In 2011, the name of the institution was changed to Modibbo Adama institution of Technology, (MAUTECH) Yola. This change was approved by Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, who was serving as President and Commander in Chief at the time. The change went into effect on October 1 of that same year.

Supposedly named after Modibbo Adama Ibn Hassan, who lived from 1809 to 1847. In addition to being the first monarch and founder of the Emirate, Modibbo Adama Ibn Hassan was also a pupil of Sheikh Usman Ibn Fodio of the Sokoto Caliphate and served as the flag bearer for the Emirate. Beginning on October 1, 2011, the new name was officially implemented.
