About The School
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, formerly known as the Federal institution of Agriculture, is a federal university located in Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria. It was founded by Federal Government of Nigeria Decree No 48 of November 1992 as a specialized institution.
The University commenced its official activity in May 1993 with the nomination of Professor Placid C. Njoku as the first Vice-Chancellor and Council on May 27, 1993. Subsequently, other important officials were named.Eighty-two students were among the initial group of students admitted to the school in the 1993–1994 academic year.
Students, alumni, and university sports teams are referred to as “Umudykes” or “U’dykers” in this sense.
In an attempt to supplement its own income and better equip students for a complicated and uncertain future, vice chancellor Professor Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe has hinted that the institution may take up commercial farming.

- O’level result: You must first have completed no more than two (2) sittings and obtained at least five credit passes in your O’level (WAEC or NECO) grades, including English and Mathematics.
- Jamb UTME: In order to pass the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Entrance Examination (JAMB), candidates must get at least 180 out of a possible 400 points.
