O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Literature in English Course
To study Literature in English in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes to include Literature in English and English Language.
UTME Subjects Combination For Literature in English Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Literature in English under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions are: Literature-in-English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.
Direct Entry Requirements for Literature in English
Two ‘A’ level passes to include Lit.-in-English and one other Arts subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) ABU require five O/Level credit passes to include English Language, Literature in English and three other subjects in Arts or Social Science.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) OAU same as in English Language.
(ii) UNIOSUN accepts Two ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and other Arts subjects or NCE in English/Political Science.
(iii) ABU accepts:
a. Two ‘A’ level papers including English at IJMB/ NCE
b. General English/Use of English at NCE satisfies’ O’ level English requirement subjects.
