O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Economics Course

To study Economics in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics and at least two other relevant courses preferably in Commerce, Government and Accounting subjects

UTME Subjects Combination For Economics Course

English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Economics under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions are: Economics, Mathematics and any of Government, History, Geography, Literature-in-English, French and CRK/IRK.

 

Direct Entry Requirements for Economics

NCE/ National Diploma with Upper Credit in the relevant subjects in addition to five credits at SSCE in not more than two sittings

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

Waiver For UTME Candidates

(i) FULOKOJA and FUD accept any two Arts or Social Science subjects as the fourth and fifth subjects.

(ii) FUWUKARI accepts credit passes in Geography, Business Methods and Statistics.

Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates

(i) FUD accepts:
a. Two ‘A’ level in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agricultural Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
b. National Diploma with Credit in the relevant subjects in addition to five Credits including English and Mathematics at SSCE in not more than two sittings.
