O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Local Government Studies
To study Local Government Studies in any polytechnics and monotechnics in Nigeria, it is required to have English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:
Economics/Commerce,Business Methods,Principles of Accounts,Literature in English,Geography, Office Practice, Government,Biology/Agricultural Science,
UTME Subjects Combination For Local Government Studies Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Local Government Studies under the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences in the polytechnics and monotechnics are:
Government or History and any two of Economics, Commerce, Geography and Mathematics
Direct Entry Requirements for Local Government Studies
(i)IBADANPOLY and ABUTH require credit passes
to include English Language and at least a pass
(ii)IBDANPOLY does not accept history.
(iii)PLSPOLY :requires O/L credit passes in English
Language, pass in Mathematics, and three other credit
from Government/History, Economics,Commerce, Geography, Biology/Agric. Sci, IRK/CRK.
(iv)KANPOLY :accepts Certificate in Local Government Studies or Public Administration of KanoPoly plus five relevant credit passes in Mathematics, English
Language, Economics, Accounts, Government/History,
Biology, Agric Science, Geography, Commerce.
(v)NACABS : accepts Certificate Course of the College or from any recognised institution OR any other qualification recognized by the College Academic Board.
(i)ABUTH :accepts Literature in English, CRS/IRS
