O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Hospitality Management

To study Hospitality Management in any polytechnics and monotechnics in Nigeria, it is required to have O/L pass in
Biology/Agricultural Science,
Mathematics and
any three of the following:
Geography,
Food and Nutrition,
Economics,
Technical Drawing,
English Language,
Physics,
Chemistry,
Nigerian Language,
Home Economics.
At least credit passes in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory

UTME Subjects Combination For Hospitality Management Course

English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Hospitality Management under the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences in the polytechnics and monotechnics are:

Biology/Agricultural Science and two of
Physics,
Chemistry,
Mathematics and
Economics

Direct Entry Requirements for Hospitality Management

(i) RUGIPO accepts any other subject in addition to two of the listed subject in course requirement.

(ii) YABATECH requires five O/L credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agric. Science, Geography and any two of the following Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Food and Nutrition/Home Management, Government/ Commerce/Accounting.

(iii) WAVECREST is not co-educational and admits only female candidates. It requires FIVE O/L credits in Biology or Agricultural Science and any FOUR of the following Physics, Chemistry, Economics/Commerce/Accounting/Government, Geography, Food and Nutrition/Home Management, English Language Mathematics. At least credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory.

(iv) PLA-POLY requires O/L credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry , Biology/Agric. Sci, Economics, Health Science, Food and Nutrition, Geography

(v) KWARA-POLY accepts Basic Electricity, Health Science, Basic Catering and Food Service, Hotel and Catering Craft Service (Cookery), Hotel and Catering Craft Service (Food and Drinks Service) as course requirements, but Chemistry is not compulsory as a requirement for the course.

(f) RUGIPO credit pass in Chemistry is not compulsory.

(g) EDE-POLY requires credit passes in Chemistry and does not accept Technical drawing Nigerian language, Home Economics

(h) ILARO-POLY requires a credit pass in Chemistry.

(i) AKANU-POLY requires credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any three of Geography, Food and Nutrition, Physics and Economics. It does not accept Economics as UTME subject

(j) AUCHI-POLY requires credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agric, Geography, any other subject and at least a pass in Chemistry.

(xi) MAPOLY requires four credits at one sitting or five credits at not more than two sittings to include English Language and Biology/Agricultural Science with at least a pass in Mathematics
