Job Summary
- The Project Engineer will act as day-to-day manager on company construction projects (on and off-sites), which may include liaising with third-party stakeholders and managing site facilities.
- S/he will be responsible for ensuring successful completion of all company project through the organization & supervision of human & material resources on site. Our ideal candidate should have a proven experience managing project from start to completion.
Responsibilities
- Successfully complete projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
- Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
- Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
- Checking designs, quantities and drawings to ensure accuracy
- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on projects.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best values.
- Authorizing technical details and engineering plans.
- Drawing up work schedules, POW and communicating any adjustments to team members and management.
- Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
- Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
- Any other projects as may be assigned.
Key Requirements
- B.Sc / MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5 – 7 years of experience working in a construction company.
- Must be a COREN certified Engineer or a registered member of an Engineering Institute/Association
- Must be smart, intelligent and well-mannered
- Proficiency in design and project management
- Technical understanding
- Determined work ethic and must be seen to be professional at all times (communication and presentation)
- Must be computer literate with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
Remuneration
N200,000 – N250,000 Monthly.
