O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Plant Science and Biotechnology Course
To study Plant Science and Biotechnology in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
UTME Subjects Combination For Plant Science and Biotechnology Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Plant Science and Biotechnology under the Faculty of Sciences n the institutions are:
Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
Direct Entry Requirements for Plant Science and Biotechnology
Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology/Botany/Zoology and Chemistry or Physics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) UNIBEN accept a pass in Physics.
(ii) FED-OYEEKITI accepts five ‘O’ level Credit passes to include English language and Mathematics and any three of Biology, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Agricultural Science and Geography.
(iii) BSU for Plant Science and Biotechnology accepts passes in five (5) prescribed subjects in Preliminary Science of BSU in addition to minimum UTME score.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) AAUA accepts ND (upper credit) in Forestry and HND (pass) in Forestry and other relevant discipline.
(ii) UNIBEN in addition to UTME requirements accepts ND (Upper credit) / HND (Lower credit) in Food Technology or Science Laboratory Technology; NCE(credit) in Biology/Chemistry.
(iii) FED-OYEEKITI accepts two A level passes in any of biology, botany, chemistry, geography, mathematics or Physics.
