O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Meteorology Course
To study Meteorology in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE Credits including Physics, Maths and English Language and either Chemistry or Geography
UTME Subjects Combination For Meteorology Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Meteorology under the Faculty of Sciences n the institutions are:
Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Geography
Direct Entry Requirements for Meteorology
ND at Upper Credit level in Meteorology in addition to the ‘O’ level requirements. OR (ii)WMO Class II Certificate in Weather Forecasting in addition to the “O” level requirements. (iii) GCE ‘A’ level passes in Maths and Physics in addition to the SSCE requirements.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
i) FUTA requires five O’ Level credit passes or its equivalent in NOT more than two sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Geography and any other science subject.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
FUTA accepts GCE (Advance Level) passes or its equivalent in at least two subjects from the following: Physics, Mathematics and either Chemistry or Geography. Holders of WMO Class II certificate are also eligible for admission.
