To study Geology and minning in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject.
UTME Subjects Combination For Geology and minning Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Geology and minning under the Faculty of Sciences n the institutions are:
Any three of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology and Geography.

Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) ESUT require Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics as UTME subjects.
(i) UNIJOS in addition to the UTME requirements, candidates must have had two ‘A’ level passes to the following subjects:
a) Geology
b) Chemistry
c) Physics
d) Biology and/or Geography.
UNIJOS also accepts HND in minning Engineering in addition to the ‘O’ level requirements.
