To study Fisheries in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject. At least a pass in Physics is required.
UTME Subjects Combination For Fisheries Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Fisheries under the Faculty of Sciences n the institutions are:
Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or Physics.
Direct Entry Requirements for Fisheries
Two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology.
(ii) NCE/HND with credit passes in Biology or Agricultural Science for 200 levels.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) OSUSTECH requires five O’ level credit passes in English
language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any one of Agricultural Science, Physics and Geography.
(ii) UNILAG requires credit pass in Physics as the fifth subject.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) CRESCENT accepts NCE/ND and approved equivalent of at least upper credit in relevant fields and IJMB at acceptable grade levels.
(ii) CRESCENT accepts at least two ‘A’ level passes in Biology and either Physics or Chemistry for candidates wishing to study Wildlife and Ecotourism.
(iii) OSUSTECH requires:
a) Two A’ level passes in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
b) National Diploma (ND) with Distinction and credit passes in relevant subjects.
(iv) UNILAG accepts:
a) Very good passes in the following three JUPEB subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
b) LAGOS does not accept NCE/HND.
