O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Applied Botany Course

To study Applied Botany in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five ‘SSCE credit passes in English Language, Biology, Maths, Chemistry and any one of Health Science, Statistics, Physics and Geography

UTME Subjects Combination For Applied Botany Course

English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Applied Botany under the Faculty of Sciences n the institutions are:

Physics Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

 

Direct Entry Requirements for Applied Botany

Two ‘A’ level passes in Biology and either Chemistry or Physics

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

Waiver For UTME Candidates

(i) BASU requires credit passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, to form the core course with 3 other relevant Science Subjects from Chemistry, Biology or Agric Science and Geography.

Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates

(i) BASU accepts IJMB/A Level/GCE A Level Credit passes in Biology, Chemistry and anyone of the following 3 subjects, Mathematics, Physics or Agricultural Science. National Diploma (ND) Pass with at least Lower Credit in the following areas: Science Lab Technology, Forestry or Agriculture and Food Science Technology. The candidate must also have the 5 O’ Level requirements in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and Physics or Geography.
