O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Chemical / Petrochemical Engineering Course

To study Chemical / Petrochemical Engineering in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any from Intro. to Agric Sc. or Materials and Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity;Transmission System;Implement and Machine;Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use,Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing.

UTME Subjects Combination For Chemical / Petrochemical Engineering Course

English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Chemical / Petrochemical Engineering under the Faculty of Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology in the institutions are: Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates

(i) RSUST accepts ND/UD (Upper) for admissions to 200 level or HND in appropriate discipline for admissions to 300 level.

(ii) NDU accepts:
(a) At least three (3) ‘A’ level passes at GCE or its equivalent in Physics, Mathematics/Further Mathematics and Chemistry and Five (5) credit level passes at SSCE/NECO/GCE ‘O’ level including English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, Admission should be to 200 level of study in a five year degree programme.
(b) National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) at Upper Credit and above, in the relevant discipline from an approved Polytechnic or related Institution. ND holders shall be admitted to the 200 level or study in a five year degree programme while HND holders shall be admitted to 300 level. In addition to the above, candidates must have five (5) SCCE/NECO/GCE ‘O’ level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
