O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Secretarial Education Course
To study Secretarial Education in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Economics and any two of Government, Geography/Physics, Accounting, Business Methods, History, Shorthand, Mathematics, Commerce, Principles of Accounts, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.
UTME Subjects Combination For Secretarial Education Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Secretarial Education under the Faculty of Education in the institutions are: Economics and any two other Social Science subjects.
Direct Entry Requirements for Secretarial Education
NCE Business Education (Social Studies Secretarial Education Major).
(ii) Two ‘A’ level passes in Business Method and any other Social Science subject and at least a pass in Mathematics.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) IAUED accepts WAEC (commercial RSA II) Cert. in 5 subjects including English Language. Does not require a credit pass in Economics.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) IAUED accepts National Diploma in Secretarial Studies with 4 ‘O’ Level credits in relevant subjects.
(ii) BASU accepts NCE (pass with 5 years teaching experience).
