O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Human Kinetics Course

To study Human Kinetics in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credits at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Health Science/Physical Education/Biology and any two other subjects.

UTME Subjects Combination For Human Kinetics Course

English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Human Kinetics under the Faculty of Education in the institutions are: English Language and three other relevant subjects.

Direct Entry Requirements for Human Kinetics

NCE in Physical and Health Education with overall percentage of 60% plus UTME requirements.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

Waiver For UTME Candidates

(i) UNILAG requires five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science/Physical Education, one other science subject and other Subject.

(ii) EBSU requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any other two subjects.

(iii) IAUED – Same as Health and Safety Education

(iv) KWASU accepts credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other one Science Subject.

(v) KSU requires five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects.

(vi) TASUED – Same as in Health Education.

Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates

(i) TASUED – Same as in Health Education.

(ii) UNILAG accepts:
(a) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects: Biology/ Health Sciences/Physical Education one (1) other Science Subject and any other subject.
(b) NCE in Physical and Health Education.
(c) University of Lagos 2-year Diploma in Human Kinetics and Health Education
(d) Candidates must also satisfy the O/Level requirement.

(iii) IAUED – Same as Health and Safety Education.

(iv) EBSU accepts RN/RM (registered nurses/registered midwife) certificate, NCE in Health and Physical Education plus UTME requirements. It also HND, NCE and ND with a minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively in the relevant fields.

(v) KWASU accepts:
a) Merit pass in IJMB/GCE A’ Level in relevant science subjects
b) At Least Merit pass in two major subjects in relevant areas at the NCE including Physical and Health Education in addition to O’Level requirements as specified for the UTME above.
c) Certificate of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria or its equivalent in addition to the O’ Level requirements in the specified subjects for UTME.
d) No Direct Entry Admission for 2013/2014 Session.
e) Any other relevant qualification approved by the College of Education and the Senate of KWASU.
