O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Education and Music Course
To study Education and Music in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credits including Music and English Language.
UTME Subjects Combination For Education and Music Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Education and Music under the Faculty of Education in the institutions are: Music and any other two Arts/Social Science subjects.
Direct Entry Requirements for Education and Music
Two ‘A’ level/NCE with merit in Music.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) DELSU accepts credit in Music at O/level.
(ii) IAUED Music is not compulsory.
(iii) OAU requires five ‘O’ level credits or equivalents including English Language and Music. Credit/merit passes in TCII or Certificate in Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ARRASM) are acceptable.
(iv) UNIUYO does insist on credit pass in Music but requires credit pass in Mathematics.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) DELSU accept National Diploma in Music.
(ii) OAU accepts ‘A’ level credit passes in Music and one other subject. Credit or merit passes at NCE Music (double major) or NCE Music combined with any other teaching or professional subject. Holders of NCE certificate in Music are eligible for admission with or without O/level Music.
(iii) IAUED accepts two A’ level passes including Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
