O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Education and Language Arts Course
To study Education and Language Arts in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credits including English Language plus at least two subjects from Economics, Geography/Physics, Government, Home Economics, History, Arabic, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Music and Literature in English.
UTME Subjects Combination For Education and Language Arts Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Education and Language Arts under the Faculty of Education in the institutions are: Any three of Yoruba, Lit. in English, Christian Religious Knowledge, History, Economics and Islamic Religious Studies.
Direct Entry Requirements for Education and Language Arts
Two relevant NCE/’A’ level passes.

Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) OAU requires ‘O’ level credits in English Literature and Yoruba or French.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) OAU requires ‘A’ level passes to include Literature in English and Yoruba or French. It also accepts Associates hip Certificate of the University with a merit pass or its equivalent and UTME requirements.
