O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Education and English Language Course
To study Education and English Language in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language and Literature in English plus three other Arts or Social Science subjects.
UTME Subjects Combination For Education and English Language Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Education and English Language under the Faculty of Education in the institutions are: Literature in English and one Arts and any other subjects.
Direct Entry Requirements for Education and English Language
Two ‘A’ level passes in relevant teaching subjects including Literature in English.
(ii) NCE with credit or merit passes in two relevant subjects.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) UNIBEN requires five O’ level credit passes to include English Language and other subjects from Literature-in-English, History, French, Fine Arts, Government and Religious Knowledge.
(ii) GO requires a credit in Mathematics but Literature is not compulsory.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) UNIBEN accepts:
Two A/level passes plus UTME requirements / 2 or 3 NCE (merit passes) including English Language plus 3 or 2 ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language and any of Literature-in-English, Religious Knowledge , Fine Arts, French, History or Government at one sitting.
