O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Political Science Course

To study Political Science in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have

Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Government/History and any other three subjects from Arts/Social Science with at least a pass in Mathematics.

UTME Subjects Combination For Political Science Course

English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Political Science under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions are:

Government/History and two other Social Science or Arts subject.

Direct Entry Requirements for Political Science

Two A’ level passes to include Government or History.


Waiver For UTME Candidates

(i) ADELEKE accepts five O’ level credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings in relevant subjects to include English Language, Government, Mathematics and any other two Social Science subjects.

(ii) FUWUKARI – Same as in Economics.

(iii) FULOKOJA requires credit passes in English Language, Government/History, two Social Science subjects and any other subject. Candidates must have at least a pass in Mathematics.

Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates

(i) ADELEKE in addition to O’ level requirements accepts GCE A’ level or HSC/NCE pass in Economics or Business Management and at least one other subject; or ND Business Administration (Upper credit) from recognised Polytechnics.
