O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Linguistics and African Languages Course
To study Linguistics and African Languages in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.
UTME Subjects Combination For Linguistics and African Languages Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Linguistics and African Languages under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions are: Igbo and two subjects from Arts and social Sciences.
Direct Entry Requirements for Linguistics and African Languages
Two ‘A’ level passes in Igbo and one Arts/Social Science subject.
(ii) NCE in Igbo and one Arts subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) OAU requires five credit passes in English language, one Arts subject and three other subjects from Sciences, Social Sciences or Arts.
