O’Level Subject Subject Combination For Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages Course
To study Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages in any university in Nigeria, it is required to have Five SSCE credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.
UTME Subjects Combination For Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages Course
English Language is compulsory for all courses. The other three subjects required for Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in the institutions are: Igbo and two subjects from Arts and social Sciences.
Direct Entry Requirements for Linguistics, Igbo and other African Languages
Two ‘A’ level passes in Igbo and one Arts/Social Science subject.
(ii) NCE in Igbo and one Arts subject.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS
Waiver For UTME Candidates
(i) UNN requires 5 O’ Level credit passes to include English language and one Science subject. Candidates for Linguistics must possess a credit pass in Literature in English while candidates for linguistics and Nigerian Language must possess a credit pass in the Nigerian language to be combined with linguistics.
Waiver For Direct Entry Candidates
(i) UNN acceptsA’ level or NCE (Merit) passes in at least one language and one other subject plus UTME requirement..
